Robin repaired my 1982 Omega Quartz 1425 for me, completed a quartz service and replaced the battery; the watch is working again perfectly!

I am very pleased as I am very fond of this watch as it is the one I wear every day to work as it is comfortable on my wrist.

I was delighted with the service, inclusive of the cost and communication.

It is my firm intention to use AWR for further work and I should strongly recommend this business to others to ensure skilled independent watchmakers like them continue to exist in the future.

Robin serviced my wife's Omega De Ville (cal. 485) and I couldn't be happier with the result. He was clear about the cost up front, kept me informed at every stage, and turned it around well inside the estimated time (a little over a week). When he opened the movement he found a few unpleasant surprises, including a jewelled balance setting that a previous repairer had glued together, and he worked around it by using parts from a spare movement I'd sent and repairing a damaged pallet stone rather than writing the job off. The price didn't move from the original quote despite the extra work. The watch is now running beautifully and my wife can finally trust the time on her wrist. Genuinely excellent service, and I'd recommend without hesitation.

I received my watch back from Robin less than 2 weeks from sending it. It's keeping excellent time gaining about 2 minutes a week. The full service cost approximately a third of what I was quoted by 2 local watch repairers. Excellent value and great communication. Many thanks.

I have previously used a high-profile Omega servicing centre. Robin at Armstrong Watch Repair has done a better job, with better communication, better after-care, with a shorter turn-around. His fee was radically less for a service, crystal polish and new main spring than the authorised centres but this is by no means a bargain or discounted service. I had an entirely unfounded concern about winding, and Robin could not have been more accommodating of my half-wittedness, taking the watch back in for a few days to satisfy himself that all was well - needless to say all was/is perfect! I will be back because of the high quality of the experience, not the lower fee!

AWR have serviced and restored both my Omega De Ville and an Omega Seamaster that I'd just picked up. For the former, I had been quoted £500 from a local watchmaker for straight service on a cal. 620. Robin confirmed that this was an extortionate price and has been incredibly transparent with his own prices. Both the service on the De Ville and the service and case refinish on the Seamaster have been done to the highest standard. I wouldn't go anywhere else from now on.

Robin Armstrong has just serviced and repaired two vintage 9ct gold watches of mine, both of great sentimental value. My 1963 Omega cal 562 had developed date change and crown movement issues after it was serviced (expensively) by another company. My Jaquet Droz ETA 2783 which was a 21st birthday present was stopping intermittently and needed a new crown fitting flush with the case. Both watches were returned within 2-3 weeks with all issues rectified and keeping excellent time. Robin provided detailed information about the work required and the likely cost, which was very reasonable. I have no hesitation in recommending Armstrong Watch Repairs to service classic Omegas and other treasured vintage watches.

Robin replaced serviced my, much used, Omega Seamaster automatic and replaced the glass. There is an initial estimate provided and once the watch has been inspected there is a firm quote. The repair was completed within the timescale given and the communication was excellent throughout. I feel this is a great way to repair older watches rather than using a general watch repairer.

My vintage Omega watch is of huge sentimental value, having been a present from my mother to my late father in 1964. When it stopped working recently, I was quoted substantial sums by two firms to repair it, with one even questioning whether it was possible. I read the reviews for Robin online and decided to take a chance on sending the watch to him. He repaired it, serviced it and sent it back looking like new and in perfect working order, all within 8 days. His invoice was hundreds of pounds less than I had been quoted. His communication throughout was excellent and I really can’t recommend him highly enough - thank you Robin!
